Decorated manhole covers, fire hydrants and road traffic signs can be found around the town of Châlons-en-Champagne. They are not advertised which is strange as they would be a good tourist attraction for families; children could tick them off against a list as they find them. It took us ages to find out why they were decorated like this and it transpired that it was an initiative to get artists to work in the town to promote it!
